The runes
Twenty-four runes turn through one full Uthark — from Uruz to Fehu, then back again.
Three turning counts and four harmonic paths — anchored on the winter solstice of December 21, 2012, the day the calendar began.
Each count turns at its own pace. They cross in the calendar's longer rhythms, and only meet again at the supercycle.
The basic counts
Twenty-four runes turn through one full Uthark — from Uruz to Fehu, then back again.
Twenty day-signs turn through one full Tzolkin tier — from Imix to Ajaw, then back again.
Thirteen tones count above the day-sign — initiation, polarity, activation, on to ascension.
When two counts re-meet
A rune meets its glyph again every 120 days — twenty-four laid through twenty.
A glyph meets its tone again every 260 days — the classic Tzolkin round.
When all three re-meet
Every rune-glyph-tone combination has appeared exactly once. The whole calendar resets, and the long turning begins again.

Of the 480 possible rune-glyph pairings, only twenty cross the calendar in harmonic agreement. They divide into four paths — each with five pairs, an animal, an element, and one solitary rune that walks beside.
Building, creating, nurturing.
Guarding, protecting, transforming.
Spiritual growth, wisdom, illumination.
Life's journey, power, endurance.
